Ceiling Fixer - Millennium Dome By Gary Turner

I’m a ceiling fixer, at the moment I’m laying grid all day at the millennium dome. I’m fitting 20x20mm steel shadow gap trim, according to the manufacturer there was nothing but a hand hack saw and a mitre block that would cut it.

I couldn’t believe that is the manufacturers recomended way to cut so started looking around for an alternative but couldnt find anything. So I gave up and ended up going to my local tool store to get my 13th plastic mitre block and there it was like a shining light - a RAGE3 mitre saw, I got all excited like a little boy at Christmas.

When I got into work I was telling the lads and thay said no way it will burn the paint on the trim, but I thought its got to be better than using a hack saw - and Wow Wow Wow.

I’ve had it 5 months now and I am just about to order a new blade for £35 - happy days. And no it doesn’t burn the trim, it’s the cleanest cut ever. Everyone on site is trying to get one now. Trust me it only took me 4 days to make it pay now im earning about £200 a week more than I was with just a hack saw!
