Hardwood Decking Dave Walton
When I was recently employed to lay hardwood decking on a customer's roof using Ipe (some of the hardest wood on earth) I was a little concerned by the impact this might have on my tools.
I was not wrong.
10 minutes in to the job my saw blade was already quite blunt, and a quarter of the way through the project my professional brand name mitre saw had died completely.
The next day I went to my local tool shop seeking a replacement, and on explaining my predicament, was recommended the RAGE3 255mm Multipurpose Sliding Mitre Saw; my first surprise was just how robust it felt.
I bought it only hoping it would last the job, but have been nothing short of shocked by its accuracy and performance. It cuts as cleanly today as it did the day I bought it; even after a job so tough it retired another saw and left all my other tools in desperate need of sharpening.
I bought the RAGE3 as a stopgap, but now I can't imagine ever using another mitre saw again, it's saved me so much time and money, and I still haven't seen half of what it can do.
