Every year, the Red Dot Award: Product Design is awarded to the year’s best products. Whether aesthetically appealing, functional, smart or innovative, what the award-winning objects have in common is their outstanding design quality.
The Red Dot judging criteria is based on the degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, durability, symbolic and emotional content, product periphery, self-explanatory quality and ecological compatibility. We're incredibly proud of this award for the best product design in 2018.
In collaboration with HJC Industrial Designers (just down the road from us) in Sheffield, a team of product designers, engineers and blade specialists have developed our new range of mitre saws, circular saws and chop saws which have launched over 2016 to 2020.
Furthermore, since the 210mm compound cutting mitre saw launched in 2016, we have developed a mitre saw range consisting of single and double bevel, sliding compound mitre saws. All with the same family DNA, design and manufacturing process. Each one uniquely optimised for their size, speed and power to cut different types of materials you need to get those creative upcycling projects or home improvement jobs done.
Evolution orange and green saws are equipped with a multi-material cutting tungsten carbide-tipped blades which spin at an optimised speed for the best cut quality and performance.
